Over the weekend and the past few days I've been working on the lines/patterns/texture assignment for class.
It's interesting how my observation seemingly became more and more focused (no pun intended) the more I got out and shot. My first sets were fairly general photos, but eventually have evolved to more simple compositions.
Obviously, lines and shapes are everywhere, but once you start conciously looking for them it's like opening a door on a completely new world. I've always been happy shooting general things like landscapes, but now that I'm starting to understand the principles and techniques I couldn't be more excited about what I've shot and what I'm yet to create.
